Texas State Dog

The Blue Lacy, known as the State Dog of Texas, was bred in the Texas Hill Country during the 1800s to be the ultimate all around dog. The Blue Lacy dog is medium in size, gritty, extremely active and quick to understand. The Blue Lacy is a working dog that can hunt, herd, track and trail, then come home to the family as a wonderful dog.

All of Huckleberry's Blue Lacy dogs are registered with the American Blue Lacy Association. The only registry with the strict registration policy of only registering Blue Lacys that are true Blue Lacys, meeting the original breed standard set by the Lacy brothers. All ABLA dogs that are being bred have passed their OFA health clearances.

Our Blue Lacys are trained in Blood Trailing, Tracking, SAR and Flyball. Proud member of the American Blue Lacy Association (ABLA), NKC, National Search Dog Alliance and the United Blood Trackers.
